They have a solid aluminium tube with rubber studs around it. The studs stop truss from slipping, damaging and make stacking easier.

This truss carrier is suitable for both triangle and square 30 truss.
It works with trusses that have a centre-to-centre distance of 239 mm, such as Prolyte, SIXTY82, Eurotruss, Global Truss, NEXT Truss, and LITEC.
